A Place to Belong 🦉
Original Oil Painting | 11" × 14" Oval Canvas
Sometimes a painting finds its purpose long after the last brushstroke.
I painted this beautiful barn owl about a month ago, but for some reason, I never got around to sharing or listing it. Now, with the heartbreaking story unfolding around a family of barn owls in New York City, I can't help feeling that this painting was waiting for its moment.
A pair of barn owls made a rare home in Manhattan, raising five beautiful fledglings and capturing the hearts of an entire neighborhood. Sadly, their nesting site was disturbed and partially dismantled, leaving so many people heartbroken and outraged.
Thankfully, the family was spotted together afterward, giving us hope for their future.
I've named this painting "A Place to Belong" in honor of their resilience and as a reminder that we share this beautiful planet with so many other living souls.
Every creature deserves safety, kindness, and a place to call home.
Painted in oils on an 11" × 14" oval canvas, this original captures the gentle spirit of the barn owl in warm, earthy tones against a rich emerald-green background.
Painted sides with shimmers of gold.
Signed.
Ready to hang.
