Inspired by my recent trip to the sunflower farm in NJ, these 'past their prime' sunflowers are rich with color and meaning.
The sage greens, magenta, lavenders, chartreuse and even a hit of gold, makes them speak softly but deeply. They portray the magnificent beauty in every stage of life.
I didn't see them withering away. Instead I saw experience, wisdom and nurture with every falling petal and seed. And it touched me. I hope that you can feel that in these paintings.
