"Jolene Express", was created when Jolene, this resilient pig who was rescued from horrendous conditions by Odd Man Inn Animal Refuge, needed medical treatment. While living her best life at the sanctuary she developed a spinal infection. Due to her size, no diagnostic options were available in the Pacific Northwest.
She was lovingly driven across the country to Pennsylvania, where they had the equipment to scan, diagnose and treat her unusual infection. After weeks of treatment she was lovingly driven back home and continues to receive the best care. She is not only resilient but also setting records for the way "food animals" are treated. That's powerful!
The original watercolor was raffled off to raise money for Odd Man Inn and a portion from each sale will also be donated to the sanctuary.
