Fall 2023 Window Painting, Murals and Chalk Art
Autumn is my FAVORITE season and I've been making the most of it!
Here are some of the things that have been going on.
When I paint windows I create this whole Hallmark movie town scenario in my mind. It's comical, especially that I'm usually in Queens, NYC and it doesn't quite resemble the charm of a Hallmark movie town. But nevertheless, it's all about YOUR perception!
And I like to not only paint something festive but I also like to create beautiful designs specific for each location.
For example, here at Chakra Cafe in Sunnyside Queens, I created an Autumn design to fit the energy and atmosphere, as well as the color scheme.
I painted their logo, the lotus flower, in Autumn colors on their door to match the design and bring together a cohesive look.
I LOVE to paint the windows for some of the Irish bars around Sunnyside, Queens.
Some of my regulars and favorites are McGuinnesses Saloon:
Another favorite is The Copper Kettle in Sunnyside, Queens. I loved painting this Thanksgiving decoration along with an ad for their Bottomless Brunch:
Here at Bliss Bistro on 46th St in Sunnyside Queens, I painted the Arc de Triumph and the Eiffel Tower in a Fall theme for this French Restaurant.
Over in Williamsburg Brooklyn I painted a few cafes.
Bagels for a breakfast place, Weekends Cafe
Over a Cafe Canary in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, I not only painted some larger than life Autumn leaves but I also apinted a larger than life yellow canary for a mural inside!
They kept this really cool paper that was there from the previous store (I think it used to be a crystal shop). The glass was placed on top to preserve the paper. I think it looks so cool!
Another fun job this past month was painting adorable animals in a powder room (bathroom). There was a dog on the toilet (heehee), a cow and pig in a bubble bath, a bunny rabbit, a chicken and some butterflies and birds.
A whole menagerie!
I didn't only paint on the windows and walls - I also "painted" on the sidewalks!
Chalk ART!
This was created for the "Taste of Sunnyside" where Sunnyside Shines, our community neighborhood organization, coordinated over 40 restaurants and bars to give out samples of their foods and drinks for one ticketed price.
It was a great event for the whole neighborhood and completely SOLD OUT!
I have a few more left for Fall and then onto Christmas and the Holidays!
I can't wait to get into the Holiday Spirit!!
